Emily Southall joins us to explain what interior design is and why it’s so cool.

We talk all about “inside architecture”: how to use the design of a space to guide your users, how to impart a mood or an idea through construction, and how interior design is the unsung art form that we all interact with everyday.

Make sure to check out all the great work from Wolski Design if you were intrigued by our conversation!

36 – Roadhouse (1989) w. Joel Taras

Joel Taras is back for more in-depth movie analysis! Today’s subject of discussion: Roadhouse (1989) is a movie about cuckolding.

Specifically we break down how explicit this film is in its deconstruction & reassessment of masculinity, sexual fidelity, and the fame of local bartenders. This movie legitimately tackles these issues with some deftness, while also being a ridiculous 80’s action movie – it’s spectacular.

That all being said, despite this being a pretty light discussion of sexually charged/explicit subject matter from a silly movie, there is some content discussed within regarding sexual violence – so if that’s something you’d prefer to avoid, use your discretion with this episode & this movie. Content Warned.

35 – Mushrooms w. Shawn Gray

Shawn Gray is back yet again! This time to break down those insane decomposers: mushrooms.

We talk about how to use them in your cooking, how they’re not quite vegetables nor animals, how they may have informed the development of the human species, and so much more! Seriously, we’ll be doing another episode on this because there was so much that we didn’t even talk about.

Make sure to check out Shawn’s group Edmonton Garbage Warriors to ensure the mushrooms aren’t the only ones cleaning things up out there this season!
