Tide’s “Coach Breaux” Ad

CHECK OUT THE AD HERE: https://vimeo.com/278175049

Quinn and Mikael break down and rebuild a Tide ad called “Coach Breaux,” a misguided attempt to appeal to a demographic that would pretty quickly see through this ad’s awfulness.

We try to figure out the difference between a Chad and a Bro, Coach Babcock and Coach Breaux, and the possibility of a super meta joke behind this ad. As always, we pitch our better versions and actually solve the issues of this ad fairly neatly.

Planet Fitness’ “New Year’s Countdown” Ad

Time for a New Year’s ad! The intrepid ad boys tear down a year-old Planet Fitness ad about the evils of the modern world and how everyone thinks you’re ugly and need to go to a gym basically all the time. We have some laughs and get serious as well in this one, so strap in cause it’s a rollercoaster.

Once we react, explain, and tear down the ad, we rebuild it, as usual. Fortunately, the issues in this ad are so glaring that it doesn’t take much to fix it.

Quinn and Mikael endure the BandQ (basically UK Home Depot) ad “Christmas With the Spruces,” an alternate reality nightmare where humans are used as trees and the “people” are actually pine trees. Yes, they are animated. No, it’s not cute.

We figure out how to build something good out of this concept by bringing houses to life and fixing up the neighborhood with the concept of Christmas Humans

On this episode of inADmissible, Quinn and Mikael take on “Stocko,” the super long, weirdly phallic stocking, a Christmas campaign nightmare from TK Maxx. If you weren’t scared of stockings before, you will be after witnessing this atrocity.

As Stocko belches presents to life, we talk about the vagueness of the product, the veiny horror that is this Xmas beast, and how we would rework the concept of something burping in your face into a positive.

Kia’s “A Day in the Life” Ad

The ad boys take a quick snapshot of this terrible ad and develop it into something beautiful. “A Day in the Life,” a late 2017 Kia Motors ad, is the height of #fellowkids culture and Quinn and Mikael are having none of it.

Tune in to this episode for our take on the likely production issues behind this ad as well as a discussion on narrative in advertising. Also, an unnecessarily vivid description of Mikael’s spec script for an anime series called “The Soul Sisters” that heavily involves the Kia Soul.

Quinn and Mikael cut down this everyman’s ad and build it back into something more kingly. Tune in for medieval madness as the ad boys disrupt the monarchy in the 2017 Bud Light ad, “Bud Lights for Everyone.”

Get ready for madcap Bottle Knight hijinks, medieval tomfoolery, and an alchemist who finally discovers how to turn Bud Heavy into Bud Light. WARNING: if you like Bud Light, this episode may or may not rock you to your political core.
