LARP (Live Action Role Play) w. Alex Perl

Ep. 92

Alex Perl is here to explain what Live Action Role Playing, or LARPing, is!

We discuss how one could get into LARPing, what sessions look like, and what goes into character development. We talk about how the (Edmonton) LARPing community addresses issues of access and expectations. Alex explains what makes for effective storytelling in a LARP and how playing to uplift can be a key for success.

Be sure to check out Chronicle LARP’s end-of-May event if you’re Alberta local, otherwise be sure to find your local LARP crew and see what they have going on!

50 – Acting w. Quinn Hinch

The one and only Quinn Hinch joins us from across the Interwebs to talk all about his experience as an actor!

We’ll be discussing performances, acting on screen vs. on stage, and the social value of learning to act (which is all just tactically using empathy & imagination). Not to mention all of the weirdness that comes with being in a production city like Vancouver vs. a lively, yet contained scene like Edmonton.
