On this episode of inADmissible, Quinn and Mikael take on “Stocko,” the super long, weirdly phallic stocking, a Christmas campaign nightmare from TK Maxx. If you weren’t scared of stockings before, you will be after witnessing this atrocity.

As Stocko belches presents to life, we talk about the vagueness of the product, the veiny horror that is this Xmas beast, and how we would rework the concept of something burping in your face into a positive.

The ad boys take a quick snapshot of this terrible ad and develop it into something beautiful. “A Day in the Life,” a late 2017 Kia Motors ad, is the height of #fellowkids culture and Quinn and Mikael are having none of it.

Tune in to this episode for our take on the likely production issues behind this ad as well as a discussion on narrative in advertising. Also, an unnecessarily vivid description of Mikael’s spec script for an anime series called “The Soul Sisters” that heavily involves the Kia Soul.

Snickers Presents: Bite Size Horror

Quinn and Mikael follow up this year’s Halloween with a visceral ad from Snickers called “Bite Size Horror.” Twist: there’s no Snickers in this ad. Second twist: maybe this ad is actually great. We learn a lot about how the ad boys feel about horror films, candy, and the importance of showing your product in your ad.

Help Tom Brady Bring Good Back This Halloween

CHECK OUT THE AD HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JrmTPlVb-E

Join the ad boys once again as they deconstruct and reconstruct the Unreal Candy ad “Help Tom Brady Bring Good Back to Halloween.” Yes, the ad is as dumb as it sounds. Get ready for spooky skeleton keys, nonsensical sci-fi pleas, and just an incredibly low bar.

My Hands ARE Free, Monoprix

https://youtu.be/8Olm8TqE1fUTake a trip with us to France as Quinn and Mikael obliterate and re-engineer the Monoprix ad “The Best Worst Song in the World,” a whirlwind of bad choices and bad 90s music. I hope you’re in the mood for condom jokes and complaining about stuff cause this one is chock full of it!

Stories are Everywhere

We take a dip into the cooling waters of Instagram’s “Stories are Everywhere” campaign wherein the social giant attempts to essentially steal Vine’s thunder (not that it had any left to begin with). While Mikael takes issue with the fifteen second spots, Quinn adamantly defends the bite-sized ads.

Lick the Face of a Football Legend

CHECK OUT THE AD HERE: https://youtu.be/raBYO0Jggko

Remember collectible plates? Remember how they’re not a thing anymore, and for good reason? Well, Just Eats doesn’t! Quinn and Mikael deliver a quick header to “Lick the Face of a Football Legend,” the Just Eats ad that robs John Barnes of whatever dignity he had left after making that WONDERFUL rap music video.

There’s not much to fix here but the inADmissible boys try their best!
