Snickers Presents: Bite Size Horror

CHECK OUT THE AD HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-f2b5J7_1mo

Quinn and Mikael follow up this year’s Halloween with a visceral ad from Snickers called “Bite Size Horror.” Twist: there’s no Snickers in this ad. Second twist: maybe this ad is actually great. We learn a lot about how the ad boys feel about horror films, candy, and the importance of showing your product in your ad.

63 – Flight & Scarlet w. Sareeta Lopez

Substitute teacher by day, blogger by night Sareeta Lopez joins us to talk about her work: Flight & Scarlet.

We discuss how she began writing for herself, then others, regarding feminism, financial management, trying to balance personal/professional well-being, and other general ‘how to adult’ topics. We figure out what the best life-hacks are and whether or not a life-hack is really just something we should’ve learned in school. Sareeta also survives the very first Lightning Round of random questions I had about goal-setting & organizational methods, so kudos for her.

31 – Delicatessen (1991)

This week Sophie & Mitch watched the cult French film Delicatessen (1991).

Ho-boy what a movie: an apartment building full of weirdos atop a butcher shop after some sort of apocalypse. It’s super odd, super French, and super fun. If you need more strangeness this Halloween, this is the movie for you.
