17 – Julie & Julia (2009)

Sophie and Mitch watch 2009’s Julie & Julia, a movie about 2 women who were lost in life and found by food.

We talk about cookbooks, boeuf bourguignon, and the film’s ability to tell two different narratives as a single ‘biopic’. Not to mention how amazing Meryl Streep, Amy Adams, and Stanley Tucci are!

Make sure to follow us on TwitterInstagram, and Facebook to keep up with news, to join the discussion about food, and to check out all of our personal recipes – but not this time; Google Julia Child’s Boeuf Bourguignon, just do it.

48 – Dungeon Mastering w. Brayden Scobie

Fellow Collective Legacy member Brayden Scobie joins us to talk about his time as a Dungeon Master for games like D&D/Pathfinder.

Chick Gon Give It To Ya

CHECK OUT THE AD HERE: https://goo.gl/y2zLj3

Okay, this one’s not so bad. Quinn and Mikael pluck and breakdown “The Whole Chicken,” a video spot for KFC that features a dancing chicken and HEAVILY features DMX’s classic ditty: “X Gon Give It To Ya.”

Is it a real chicken or a computer generated chicken? This is the question that shrouds this episode in mystery and intrigue. Follow along as our dedicated analysts tear down and rebuild this strangely entrancing ad that kinda just reminds you that KFC does bad stuff to chickens.

Animorphs #22: The Solution

Finally! The David Trilogy comes to a close and so does our discussion of his tragic end! We discuss Animorphs #22: The Solution on this week’s episode of The Dork-Bajir Chronicles!

We pitch a few more alternative solutions to the David problem, argue about how far thought-speak should go, and just generally upset Tessa as the boys take a big dump on Cassie, yet again. Join us for the exciting conclusion of possibly the darkest time in Animorphs story arcs!

47 – Avatar: The Last Airbender w. Sophie Gareau-Brennan

Collective Legacy member Sophie Gareau-Brennan joins us yet again, this time to talk about a freshly finished show: Avatar: The Last Airbender.

So spoilers for the series; we talk about our favourite characters, story arcs, what kind of bender we’d like to be. It’s a pretty fun time of us discussing the show right after finishing it (and before we watch Korra).

So make sure to hit up Sophie via her Twitter if you’d like to chat more about Avatar or foodstuffs or other things; or just check out the show we host: We Watch Food.
